Under the artistic direction of our founder Jamie O'Rourke, our growing organisations' projects

are divided into these areas:

The company has a committed following of Project Theatre fans, and is always seeking to build on this audience through innovative audience development and educational work.

Our mission

Project Theatre aims to promote community and youth involvement in drama and theatre arts across the Falkirk area through workshops, productions and community initiatives.

Our Aims

The aims of our group are:

To provide a supportive and safe environment for young people to engage in drama and theatre related activities on a regular basis.

To encourage and facilitate the development of skills related to theatre and drama.

To provide opportunities for all members to take part in regular Youth productions on any theatre stage.

To give members the opportunity to take part in additional workshops and events.

To provide a place for people with an interest in theatre and drama to meet, make friends and have fun.

To further these aims and objectives we:

Provide theatre workshops and classes

Encourage representatives of other organisations to exchange information and work on joint projects

Take part in other activities that promote good practice in youth theatre and for the benefit of the community

Our constitution is the document that lays out how our organisation as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation operates.  A copy of it is available here

Artistic Policy

Project Theatre has a growing membership of young people aged between eight and eighteen.

Through their involvement in a diverse programme, exploring all aspects of theatre and performance, we support and resource their experience of quality children’s and youth theatre experience and education.

Positive Performance

Project Theatre works under our Positive Performance approach which is an approach we have created which is unique to us and ensures everything we do is fair and fun for all our young people

What Parents say about Project Theatre:

"My daughter thoroughly enjoys Project Theatre – she has been attending for the last couple of years, as a mother I try and help out when I can but its all fun and a really nice group of people. Its great fun for your children and they gain lots of experience and fun.

Polly has enjoyed all the workshops and has developed greatly with the various dancing, singing and action lessons… the kids love the annual show and all work really hard, I would have no hesitation in recommending your child joins Project Theatre"
